Association President

(Alumni Association President: Hilda Ford)

A LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT:

Greetings:

On behalf of the Blanche Ely High Alumni and Friends Association committee members, we express our sincere gratitude for your presence. We hope this event serves as a catalyst to many new connections. We continue hearing positive feedback which fuels our enthusiasm and inspires us to move forward. Your support of us is commendable!

We reached out to the Ely community and you answered our call. Our goal is to work tirelessly at fostering a cooperative culture within the community, uniting alumni, educators, parents and businesses collectively. We are excited about the opportunity of contributing to the educational and personal growth of students, inspiring them to reach their greatest potential.

We must continue to ignite a passion for learning which begins at the elementary level and extends upwards to high school and beyond. The late beloved, Mrs. Blanche General Ely was an advocate for high standards, self respect and providing quality education for her “boys and girls”. Certainly she is smiling down on us as we strive to instill her legacy and vision she left in place for Blanche Ely High School! The success of this alumni association can benefit from your cooperation, continuous prayers and united fundraising efforts.

May we all be reminded that, “it takes a village to raise a child,” and we are part of that village. The great, Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

Again, we are humbled and grateful for your support and whole heartily believe that together we can continue to a make a positive impact in the lives of many. Please enjoy the evening!

In Service and Friendship,

Hilda Ford
