Blanche Elliabeth General was born in Reddick, Florida, December 7, 1904, to Deacon JOhn W. General and General Ely Govan.
Blanche General Ely, formerly Blanche General Boyd, was appointed Principal of Pompano Negro Grammar School during the 1923 school year. She taught grades three served as Principal of Ojus Elementary School in Dade County for six months.
